Birth of an innovative concept: ALD Vacuum Technologies introduced new system for metal heat treatment to the market - ModulTherm

The aim for the construction of a new furnace design was to build a "good value for money" plant that provides best quality and reliability .
The ModulTherm heat treatment concept is the solution that meets all these requirements.

The modular multi chamber furnace is based on a rail mounted shuttle system, comprising the transfer module and the quenching chamber moving between two or more stationary treatment chambers.
Individual modules like e.g. additional treatment chambers may be equipped according to the required applications.

A new option is the opportunity to reverse the gas flow in the quenching chamber during the quenching process, a significant advantage for quenching long parts like e.g. gear shafts.

ModulTherm combines flexibility and medium or high production capacities between the proved multi-purpose chamber VZKQ for low throughput and VMKQ for high throughput.
Therewith ALD Vacuum Technologies is the only supplier that offers a product range that includes the right solution for any demand in metal heat treatment industry.

The first ModulTherm System already has been sold. It will be installed, tested and commissioned mid 2002 at Wegener Härtetechnik GmbH in Homburg/Saar.
