PFW Awarded APU Installation Kit Contract
Speyer, Germany, March, 2003 – PFW, Germany, has been awarded by Hawker de Havilland (HdH) a contract to supply the APU Installation Kit for the tail cone of Bombardier’s Challenger 300 program. HdH produces the tail cone at its Sydney, Australia facility. The APU Installation Kit includes the Exhaust System, Mount System, Bleed Air System and others. PFW already supplies similar systems to Airbus for its A320 family and A340-500/600 programs. The contract calls for PFW to redesign the units for optimized efficiency. The contract value has not been disclosed.

First delivery of the total APU Installation Kit will be in the first quarter of 2003. The Project Teams of both companies have transitioned rapidly from the proposal stage into full-scale production in response to the challenging time schedule.
